Isa:2:1-4
Israel had been selfish about their God. Though they rebelled and sought other gods, their Jehovah was theirs alone. And all other nations were considered Gentiles with disgust and a lot of pride in themselves. They were proud to call themselves as Abraham's children.
But God's masterplan was different. It encompassed all nations. His plan was to reach the whole mankind through this nation Israel. In Him there is no difference between Israel or Greek or Romans or Arabians or Indians. All He loved with the same love.
Isa:2:2 People from all over the world will stream there (mountain of the Lord's house) to worship.
Isa:2:3 There He will teach us His ways.
And we will walk in His paths.
There is no distinction in God's eyes. He has loved Abraham and Moses and you, alike.
Not Israel alone. I who has known the Lord for so long, may be since generations, do I boast on my ancestry?
- My grandfather laid the foundation of the church.
-My great grandfather was baptized by St. Thomas himself
- It is in my amcestral property, that the church is now.
All buildings and all outwardly assets will vanish off and those will matter to nothing. All that matters now is your relationship with the Father.
Paul was a pure blooded citizen of Benjamin, a real Hebrew, member of Pharisees who demanded the strictest obedience to Jewish law, zealous.
Yet he says, it is better to boast in the Lord and he considers everything else worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus.
Where do I brag? What do I boast?
