Stand in God's way

Do I stand in God's way? When God plans something, do I have different plans. When Jesus prophesied about His sacrificial death on the cross, Peter even rebuked Him. The same Peter; (infact a changed Peter), later asks, "Who was I to stand in God's way?" Acts:11:17 You will definitely have a plan for your life and for your loved one's lives. But that is based on your wisdom, your reasoning. That is very very finite. And now when God reveals His plan, which is totally out of the box, when you are confused, asking why God is asking you to do it, then would you trust His wisdom? And that too it might be for a season. You might be asked to do something else later. Still will you obey?  Complete absolute obedience based on relentless trust . That is the only thing He asks. He will guide for sure. Will you stand in His way?  Image courtesy; https://www.freepik.com/free-photo/business-concept-with-wooden-cube-with-one-block-near_10183593.htm#fromView=keyword...

In my conveniences

You have shown favouritism in the way you carry out my instructions. Mal:2:9 We often are proud of ourselves when we obey God in the few things He has asked us. And highlight it. We often expect blessings from Him, based on the "high" level of obedience we think we have done.  But many a times, we forget that our obediences have favouritisms. Favouritisms to our conveniences. Favouritisms to approvals. Favouritisms to things which we feel like doing. Avoiding the ones which we are not comfortable with - either physically or mentally.  Go ye to North India with my gospel. Oh! There are other people who are burdened to do that. Share the Gospel to your closest friend right there. Oh! That will affect our relationship.  Teach your children the word of God. Oh! That is the Sunday School Teacher's job. I am busy earning and providing for the family.  Stand for me in your work place. Oh! Everyone else is doing.  Give your tithes. Oh! Not this month Lord. Just do it

Isa:66:4 For when I called, they did not answer When I spoke, they did not listen Obedience is expected to be complete and absolute. Not according to my convenience.  When the Lord tells you as a father tells his child, it demands immediate obedience. All the more because of my love to Him, His holiness, His authority. How dare I sillify His words?  The sun, the moon and stars, the seasons, the birds in the sky, the animals - wild and tame, all obey Him at His word. I alone give excuses, may be three years later, may be after I retire, let me settle, may be let me save some for my family. An age old proverb, still holds true - Delayed obedience is equal to disobedience.  If there is a command to obey, an admonition to correct, that comes from the word, which spoke directly pointing fingers to me, and if I postpone, I would be squandering that opportunity to obey the Almighty and be part of His kingdom making. And I would also be wasting time.  Procrastina...

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone -Neale Donald Walsch

2 Chron:11:13 But all the priests and Levites living among the northern tribes of Israel sided with Rehoboam. The Levites even abandoned their pasturelands and properties and moved  to Judah and Jerusalem because Jeroboam and his sons would not allow them to serve the Lord as priests. Oh! What genuine love? What commitment? To leave out their comfort zones and leave all their possessions just because they did not have the freedom to worship the Lord. To leave all that they had and live in another country, starting from square one because they wanted to be close to God. Some might have just started a family. Some might have just finished their house. Some might have been settled and established for years or decades  But all of them were sure of what they had to do and was willing to let go. Completely. What about you dear one? Are you in the place which God has planned for you, at this time? Is anything preventing you to come out of your comforts? Is your loan more ...

Choose to obey

May the Lord help you to keep your promise - 1Sam:1:23 It is the Lord who gives a desire for Him It is the Lord who enables you to give the promise And it is the Lord who helps you keep your promise So are we just puppets?  The choice was Hannah's. She could have very well given excuse not to fulfill her promise. The child is so small. This child is my only child. A little more let him be with me. God put it in her heart. God enables her to obey. But she chose to obey. To obey with her whole heart. We can also obey reluctantly. Reminded of that adamant boy who was asked to sit by the teacher after his punishment. Because of his resentment and adamancy he said "I am still standing in my heart." Whole hearted obedience, obeying with joy removes building up of resentment and anger in your life and it helps you to live your life with joy and gladness. and that comes  by trusting in the fact that God is good all the time. May God enable.
