The halfbaked Bard

Continuing on the thought on Joseph. We do not know much about this man apart from the first one or two chapters in the gospel. And that too not all of them. Later on its all about Mary. Till even the death of Jesus on the cross.  We don't know what happened to him. He chose to be off the limelight. Though he was the father of the Saviour of the world. He chose to be in the shadows.  But I'm sure Jesus had a better understanding of the Father in heaven because he had a wonderful father in earth to emulate especially in His formative years. Being in the backstage is actually a good thing. Provided you do what God expects you to do. Not to be lazy or sit idly. The makeup man and the one who raises the curtain are all important for the show to go on along with the lead role. Though no one recognises or acknowledges their importance.

I’m often amazed at Joseph’s obedience.  1. Heading in Matt:1 says Joseph accepts Jesus as his son.  2. V 24 he did....  3. Ch2 v14 so he got up.....  4. V21 so he got up.....  5. V22 he withdrew.... Whatever the Holy Spirit tells him he accepts it with his whole heart and obeys it completely without questioning or without any compromise. Not just in his deeds alone.in his mindset and thought process too. Very little do we read about Joseph. But the fact that he accepted Jesus as his son despite thinking what the world would say. And completely believing what God told him and completely obeying. Definitely a man to emulate
