I am leaving you with a gift; peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. Jn:14:27 Peace is one thing that man has always desired. Inner peace as well as peace with each other. But the peace that the world offers is dependent on circumstances. If everything goes well, then you will have peace. And that is exactly why there is a huge strife to do things well. Between kingdoms and countries; amongst individuals - there are discussions and meetings to make things well. But what Jesus promises is something different. Peace that passeth all understanding. Even when things are going wrong. When things happen contrary to your plans, still if you have peace; then that is greater peace. That greater peace enables you to hope. That greater peace equips you to smile always. That peace comes from the surity of your identity in Christ. That I am the Lord's beloved and that nothing happens in my life, without God knowing it and without God allowing ...

In proverbs, wisdom is personified as God and loving wisdom is synonymous to fear of God.  Fools are told as to hate knowledge.  Pro:1.33. All who listen to me will live in peace,  Untroubled by fear of harm.  A wise man, a person who loves this wisdom, the one who lives a life fearing God will live in peace. It doesn't guarantee a life free of trouble. But in the midst of all troubles, he will be at peace.  When the dove brought back the olive shoot, still there was only water all around to be seen for Noah. But the olive branch and the dove coming back brought peace in His mind, despite what he kept on seeing all around him.  This is the peace that passeth all understanding that God is in control. No matter how bad the situation looks like, He Sovereign. And the one who trusts in the Almighty will never be shaken.  And if I don't have that peace, there is poor understanding of this God personally dear one. He doesn't change. He is the same yesterday ...
