God's will

It is God's will that you should be sanctified. 1Thess:4:3 For God did not call us to be impure but to live a holy life. 1Thess:4:7 The opposite of holy life is not unholiness. It is a routine, mundane living, because of the fallenness and corruption. Just live - that will be the opposite of holy living.  But you have been called to live a holy life. To take proactive steps to not look at those tempting billboards. To take proactive steps not to be angry today. To take proactive steps to feed yourself with the Word and nothing else. If not proactive, you will be swept away. If not proactive, you will be under the heavy weight to dance according to what the world says. That is unholy. God's plan is to sanctify you. To make you holy. Image courtesy: https://wallpapersafari.com/plain-white-wallpapers/

Blameless

1 Cor:1:8 He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong. Not safe. Strong is a more intense word. Not that He will keep you safe from falling. But He will keep you strong so that you wouldn't fall. You would be blameless. He will enable you to stay strong. To take drastic steps against evil. It is not a scene of a helpless baby protected by its mother (That is also true). But a picture of a trainer who gives constant training to you so that you will be able to resist evil. Sanctification is a process of equipping you to choose your Abba, than the world and it's selfish ways. The beauty is, God wants you to be involved in it. Rather than spoon feeding you. A process

Job:14:4 Who can bring purity out of an impure person?  No one.  Job comes to the reality of man's sinfulness. That because of the fall, mankind has become totally impure, fully marred that no good thing can come out of him. Everything is smeared with a tinge of his fallenness.  Isa:64:6 All our good deeds are like filthy rags.  Not out of human efforts. It had to be a divine intervention. To save man from the wretched plight - he is only able to sin. God Himself had to do something.  Job:14:17 My sins would be sealed in a pouch And you would cover my guilt.  Man out of his helplessness needs to look at the finished work of salvation that Christ Jesus has offerred. Not just as a one time act. But in our daily living - that is the process of salvation.
