Trials

The powerful winds hurled, the violent storm was rising, the ship was about to be destroyed, lives including those of the other sailors were in danger. All because of Jonah's disobedience. All happened so that Jonah would come back on track.  John:16:33. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, for I have overcome the world.  Trials and sorrows and troubles and hardships whether it is out of your disobedience or not, are for your good. Because the word says that all things work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Can we trust His Sovereignty?  Goodness might not be as you imagine - in healing, in stoppage of persecution, in financial stability, but in coming back in track to God. Because it was for this you have been created. Being tuned to the person of Christ.  So can we say trials and troubles are good? You can't - a poem

Jonah:1:3 Hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.  You can't escape God From His statutes, from His standards He is who He is - from the beginning to the end He doesn't change. He is the same.  You can't escape God.  The sin He abhored then, He abhors now too No compromise. No dilution.  Sin is a sin is a sin for Him. And for you?  You can't escape God.  His eyes always search the world.  Like a hound in the heaven He is watching over you - 24 x 7. You can't escape God If He has asked something You can't run away like Jonah did Hoping He'll not notice. He will not bother.  You can't escape God.  The Maker, Sustainer, Judge.  At some point if you reject the compassionate Jesus Later you would face the righteous Judge.  Do not try to run like Jonah It's useless. Acknowledge Him while you're young He will make your paths straight. He promises life to the fullest.  You can't escape the love of God.  Which was poured out full on Cal
