Hope - a prose

Christ in you; the hope of glory. Col:1:27 The hope of glory that we have, we will have The hope of glory of God that is about to be revealed The hope of no tears; no pain; no sickening sea The hope of the returning of the redeemer; my lover Is Christ Jesus in us. Jesus said - If you have the Son, you have life If you do not have the Son, you do not have the life Christ in you, is the hope of all glory that awaits If you have Christ in you; He is coming back to take you home For He has gone to make a home for you In His Father's house And as He promised He is coming back Just the way He has been taken up So He will come; to take His bride home The more the Christ in you; the more the hope you have The more you trust Him, the more the hope Mythical stories vs a reality The distinction is this - Christ in you or not. There is no in between stance. Whether you are for Him, or against Him. Image courtesy: https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos/hope

Hope - a prose

Phil:3:20 And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Saviour. Hope is something which pulls you through Hope gives you energy to cling on Hope gives you the motive to press on When hope is based on a person Who promised and has fulfilled every single one . I will be with you till the end of days. I will not leave you nor forsake you You will do greater things than these To name a few personal ones. Look at nations being formed. Look at nations destroyed. Look at Jesus Himself when He first came. Now all the more reasons to hope for the mother of them all. I am coming back to take you home. Oh! In every tragic; it brings a smile In being unloved; it brings the feeling of being loved In devastation and desperation; it brings hope. Amidst uncertainties, it is certain. My Lover is coming back for me. My Father is coming back for His son. My Friend is coming back for me. My very own Jesus is coming back for me. To take me home. Safe in the arms of Jesus

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Rom:8:18 Whatever you go through today, dear one, is insignificant as compared to the glory that will be revealed later. V:25. If we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. The hope of what we do not see, but are yet to see, the glory of it all, that which is kept as an inheritance for me, the eternal life. The weight of it. The magnanimity of it. The humungousness of it. As compared to that, your present day trouble is nothing. Be it health. Be it financial. Be it emotional. Be it any significant thing for you. It is insignificant for Him. Not that He will push it aside. God has it all in His hands. And He has a solution. He holds my present times and the eternity in His hands. Then just trust right?  Greater things are yet to come. These are all small things for your Father. Greater things He has done. Greate...

Hope

Jn:14:3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. Either Jesus is an outright fool, who believed false things Himself. Or He is a liar. Or what He says is absolute truth. One cannot say, some teachings I accept. Some I reject. The same person who said, love your enemy, also said, I am with you, do not be afraid. The same person who asked you to walk the extra mile, told that He is coming back for you. He said He is coming back to get you back to where you really belong. To His place. Can we even fathom His passionate love for us. Preparing a place that is specially for you. Coming back for you. To take you there. And there you will always be with me where I am. Forever. There is no greater love than this. There is no other love. There is no other hope. And this love is the one thing that should pull us along. Don't you dare feel insecure. Don't you dare think you are unwanted. You have a Father who loves you so...

Death is not the end - prose

Pro:14:32 But godly have a refuge when they die.  Man can only know (at least as of now), till he dies.  All his assets, all his achievements, all his accolades.  All his griefs, all his failures and all his loneliness.  Is only till he die. At least as far as he knows.  The greatest of the greatest can only say,  'Empty handed I came. Empty handed I go' But here is a man who claims to say Any one who believes in me Will live, even after dying.  That whosoever believes, shall not perish But have eternal life.  There need not be any fear of death if you believe in Jesus.  No uncertainty.  Your loved ones will be taken care of.  They will have His peace.  Believe in the Son of God.  And you will have eternal life (John:3:36)  What do you believe in Jesus?  That He died and rose again for my sin?  Well that is just the beginning.  Believe that He is enough. He is Elshaddai.  He will take c...

Freedom

You will go free. Mal:4:2 Freedom is often misinterpreted as the ability to do whatever you want to do.  Imagine such a society where everyone is free to do what he wants to do. There would be utter chaos. One would want to sleep through the morning. Another would want to party all night. One would want to drive past the red light. The other a slower driver would cause much traffic blocks. There would be no punctuality in offices. There would be no protocols. No disciplines. No schedules. Imagine your flight leaving early just because your pilot felt so. No justice. A judge could feel to punish an innocent man, or biased to let go a criminal.  Thieves and robbers and murderers would be rampant, running havoc on the streets for any sickening reason they want to produce. Absolute carnage.  Then what exactly is freedom. What is freedom for a jug made by a potter? It is the ability to pour out water consistently without any hindrances. Freedom is the privilege to ...

The Book of Remembrance

Mal:3:16-18 What is the benefit of fearing God? Why should I live a life always thinking about the honour of His name?  Is it not foolishness to forsake all the riches and goodnesses of this world and follow some ideology which seems abstract?  The answer is in today's portion.  Your name will be written in a scroll of remembrance.  What use if my name is written?  Rev:20:12 says- and the books were opened including the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.  Rev:20:15 reads - and anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the Lake of Fire.  If your name is not in that book then, that's it. You're done.  So what if my name is written in it? But still I will be judged according to my deeds are right?  Mal:3:17 - On the day when I act in judgement they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares his obedient child....

Helpless, yet Hopeful

Zech:12:10 Then I will pour out a Spirit of grace and prayer....  When you realize that you cannot do it on your own, that is when you need the Spirit of grace. Till date you have been striving hard - to do things. Stop and receive only. The Spirit is freely given.  And only when you realize as you enlist things you have been struggling to do, and as you look into the ever blank list, then you desire and hence receive the Spirit of prayer. No boredome, no laziness, no rebellion. No thing would stand between you and your beloved.  Helpless, but hopeful.  And how did it all possibly happen? Through the One whom they pierced.  Isolated, strangled,  mangled and warped, rebels are now given a chance to come, to commit, to communicate. Only through the cross.  Image credit:  https://www.derekprince.com/radio/559
