God loves still

I'm so surprised that, Ahab was probably the most evil king of Israel, yet much is told about him. How many opportunities God was giving him, through prophets. How he refused to listen. How he was exposed time and again to godly men. The advises he got both good and bad and what he listened to and what he gave importance to. It just shows God's heart yearning to bring Ahab back from the grip of Satan. How much God loved Ahab..... Are we any different? Rom:5:8 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of His Son, while we were still his enemies. Oh! What a gracious God is this? When we rebelled, when we were His enemies, when we were jeering at His face, He loved us.

Fortress of love - Poem

2Sam:22:2 and Psalm:18:2 He is my fortress.... The Lord is my fortress Not just a place to run to In times of trouble, in times of need When all help is lost, no hope. He is a shield around me Ps:3:3 He surrounds me with His shield of love Ps:5:12 Underneath me, all around me Is the current of His love - ST Francis His love covers me; His love hugs me . Nothing will be able to tear it apart Nothing will be able to take away that assurance It was more than the nails, that hung Him there. It encompasses me, it envisages me It circumscribes me, never to leave nor forsake me. Without boundaries, without limit No malevolent eye can beat against me. Living in the fortress of love Brings more of assurance than security Security is against fear of worse Assurance is a way of life which gives identity. No matter what; I am His beloved No matter what; I am His own Nothing in this world absolutely nothing Can seperate, take me out of this fortress of love.

With you

The Lord was with Joseph.  What does it really mean, when you wish someone, "The Lord is with you"? Many a times we look into Joseph's life and say "The Lord is with you and will help you succeed in everything you do." Yes that is true - in Potiphar's house, in the prison we see Joseph being blessed in this.  But in the prison, there is another phrase which we often miss. Gen:39:21 The Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him His faithful love.  That is what the presence of the Lord, should assure us of. That I'm loved, especially in prison times. That I would be sure of His faithful love. Not that I should succeed. That is all secondary. Unless I'm rooted in the assurance that I'm unendingly loved by my God, even when I'm all alone in the busy world, even when my own dear ones fail to love me as I am, my God loves me with an everlasting love. This is what should bring you from prison times. This is what you should cling ...
