The halfbaked Bard

Tit:1:1 The knowledge of truth that leads to Godliness. Godliness is a desirable and advisable thing. Along with contentment it is great gain. It is that God consciousness, that God fearing attitude that as man, would be the best thing to have. That will develop only by the knowledge of the truth. That will develop only by spending time with the Word of God. Not just in your quiet times that happen for half an hour in the morning. Let it sink in. Let it richly dwell in you. Let it percolate and dissolve in your life. Keep on pondering. Keep on investing. Keep on reading. If it is God's word, it will impute in you God's character. The more you invest into it, the more you will impart His nature. The more Godly you will be. The more God conscious you will be in your circumstances. The more God oriented you will be. How deep is your relationship with your God, depends on how well do you spend time with His word.

Ps:119:45 I will walk in freedom For I have devoted myself to your commandments.  The world says, the rules and regulations of the Bible are troublesome and burdensome. It binds you tight.  But the truth is that, it is releasing and freedom giving. Freedom from the enslavement of sin. Where you were once forced to only sin, now you are free not to. You had the option to sin only, then. But now you're free indeed.  The Father has given you the privilege to choose not to sin. That's walking in freedom. And that will be possible only if you devot yourself in His commandments. Fully dedicated that you fill your entire heart with His commandments so that you would not waver from it. Jer:23:29 Does not my word burn like fire? Says the Lord.  What does the word of God do in you?  Does it burn? Burn all impurities?  Does it blaze? Scorching up all sin?  Does it ignite? The presence of God throughout your life?  Does it simmer? Boiling you to overflow?  Does it kindle? Glowing the heart of God on you?  Does it torch? Enlightening the way you should walk?  And for others around you?  Does it cauterize? All unwanted things  in your life Does it cremate? From Psalm 19 The instructions of the Lord are perfect , it revives the soul. It rejuvinates us. It strengthens us. It pushes us forward. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy , it makes the simple wise. It gives wisdom. As it corrects. As it admonishes. As it directs you in the right path. And it is always worthy to trust. The commandments of the Lord are right , it brings joy to the heart. When you are in trouble it encourages you. It brings you back to the right place - His bosom where we rightly belong. The commands of the Lord are clear , giving insight for living. Isa:30:21 Your own ears will hear Him Right behind you a voice will say This is the way you should go Whether to the right or to the left. The Word is such an integral part of our life. It corrects us It encourages us It gives us an example Leads from the front Sets before us standards (His standards) How important is the word for us as we walk along. How important hence to daily spend time with the Word....
