Phil:2:6-11 Christ was exalted when He humbled. He humbled Himself In obedience even until death Therefore the Father exalted Him And His name above all else. He made Himself nothing. In true humility, there would be exaltation God would cause it, because He resists the proud. But if you dream to be exalted, while you humble, Then that is not the true humility intended. That is only a shortcut you desire, to exaltation. In true humility, there is servanthood. There is selflessness. There is only absolute giving Not what would I gain. When Jesus humbled Himself . He was only mindful of me. He was only thinking of me. He was only thinking of redeeming me. Back to His bosom. The lost me. He was only willing. To be separated from the Father Out of His love for me. He was only...

Luke:18:14 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Luke:18:14 A contrasting kingdom that is above the concept of mqankind. Just like Luke:17:33. A spiritual realm which you cannot fathom unless God chooses to reveal it to you. A similar tone we read in Luke14:8.  If you try to exalt yourself you will be humbled. Instead humble yourself under the mighty power of God, and at right time He will lift you up in honour. 1Pet:5:6. Let others take the preferred seat. Let yourself be trampled upon. Let others take the glory. John said about Jesus - He should increase, I should decrease. Will I be able to say that about my brother? When I do that, I choose to chop the head of pride that is lurking dangerously in my life. Is not humility the key to God's grace? God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. What is the sacrifice that God desires? In Psalms:50:14, Asaph says it is thankfulness. Ps:50:23 - Giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honours me. Giving thanks, only a person who is humble enough can do. Not somebody who is filled with pride, who feels he has gained all these things by his merits. Where as somebody who is humble realizes what his actual plight was and where he had been pulled from. And hence he is thankful to God, seeing God's grace in all he does. Lord help me to be humble enough to be thankful always.

Jacob gets the same cup of tea. He started with deceit He receives deceit. Linked to 14 years plus, of hard toil.  God is trying to communicate with him; dear Jacob what you have done is not right. May be he started to realize that. He has mellowed down. The person as he is, he would want to react and do things his own way. But he is willing to work hard another 7 more years, even when Rachel was given to him. Without much of reacting.  When God tries to communicate, we can rebel, we can give excuses, we can substantiate our actions. We can even over react. But it takes humility to mellow down and say, yes what I did was wrong. I am willing for your chastisement Lord, for I know you are a Holy God and no sin is not serious for you. I am willing.  God honours that acceptance and He will help you, He will bless you.
