Why hardships?

Hos:6:1 Come let us return to the Lord He has torn us to pieces Now He will heal us He has injured us Now He will bandage our wounds.  The Lord in His Sovereignty has allowed hardships. Not that He tempts you. But He allows these troubles come by, so that your faith is tested, your endurance will grow.  But also remember, as He allows these wounds, He will bandage us and heal us. He takes the initiative to touch us and relieve us and restore us. Like Job, let us also testify - for though He wounds; He also bandages. He strikes, but His hands also heal (5:18)  But why does He do this cycle? Why wound and then heal? Why tear and then mend yet again? Rather than the expected easy way of protection right throughout?  The answer is in v:3 - Oh that we might know the Lord. Let us press on to know Him. Difficulties are means to know God more. It is fine. it is ok.

Do not worry. A word with heavy meaning and substance. A sentence we often love to hear from our loved ones especially in times of trouble. An assurance that it is okay. In Malayalam a very close word is "saramilla". How comforting it is to hear someone say that. He might not have things under control. She might not have a solution for it. All it means probably is, I am with you in this. We will face it together. And we will come over this together. It doesn't look too big to scale. It is fine. It is okay. What if it comes from the strongest boy in school, who is your friend. Oh! Huge will be the impact. Huge will be your confidence. Phil:4:6 The Almighty God, your Father says - do not worry. Instead what should we do? In every situation. In each and every situation, pray. Tell it to your loving Father. With thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Just keep on telling to Him.
