Strong - A Poem

For love is as strong as death
Song of Songs:8:6

What is certain in life?
What is sure to come?
No matter where you hide
Where you station yourself
Where you protect yourself
How much ever you guard yourself
You pour out money in defense
Or threaten with your atomic or nuclear explosives
Or strengthen your barricades or bouncers
Or bodyguards or any other protections
One day you will have to face him
Anyone who is born, has to look at death
Face to face one day; No escape
That is the only certitude in life
No riches; No success; No happiness
Not sickness; nor poverty.
One thing for sure - Death is inevitable.

Here is something even stronger, even surer
The love the Father only can bestow, only can lavish
That which will never leave you nor forsake you
You can never get away from His presence
Even in the grave; His love saves
Even in the deepest darkness; His rod and staff is enough
The surity of an unchanging God is His love
His love to you; binds Him to you
His love vs The ultimate Judge
And therefore He bore it all Himself on the cross
So that you might be saved from the fiery hell
For nothing can separate me from the love of God
That is the surity I can always have
No heights, no depths, no powers of hell
No angels, nor demons, no worries
I am absolutely within His palm
With the palms of the Father overarching.

You can be assured dear one, of this love
As sure; as strong; as powerful as death can be
In fact more; for I can boldly ask
"Where O death is your sting?
I am His; His very own; You can't touch me"
When you are not sure of being loved by your dears
When you feel insecure in your relations
There is the One that always loves
One that just keeps loving
No matter what
Your hands or your words or your thoughts
Doesn't stop His heart from loving you
Always loving - always wanting you to be like Him
In His image you were created out of love
In His likeness you are being sustained
In His character you would ultimately become
All out of love - as strong and sure as death.

Generation gap

A message for children.  Pro:1:8 My child listen when your father corrects you Don't neglect your mother's instruction Generation gap.  A terminology we snuggly fit in to ease the discomfort in a difficult relationship between a father and a son or a mother and a daughter. Children say they are older generation. They don't understand the present scenario. They don't understand our needs. Their advises are all old fashioned. Not fitting into the present world.  Little do they understand that their parents also might have felt the similar way about their parents only to realise the value of their parent's admonitions later on in their lives as adults. That parents have the wisdom of life. Moreover if godly parents, they being directed by God the Eternal Father, it is indeed wise to accept their advice. Even more importantly, they are God given authority. And their love to you is beyond anyone else in this world. Your own blood. Who else would want the best out of your

The big picture - prose

Hab:2:1 I will climb up to my watchtower And stand at my guardpost There I will wait to see what the Lord says And how He will answer my complaint.  Get the big picture And you will see things differently And then you can see the right way The way God sees.  His plans - His ways - His direction To transform to His likeness To bless. To prosper. With hope.  Higher ways. Better ways. All for good.  Things that are bad - they only seem These are ultimately for our good For He is good - He modifies to our good Nothing bad in what He is and what He does.  May be confused. Perplexed.  Unanswered questions focussing the why!  He has led this far He will lead further.  Image credit; https://www.entrepreneur.com/leadership/the-importance-of-seeing-the-big-picture/349368

Case dismissed

Zech:3:1-3 One name of the enemy is accuser. He keeps on accusing against us to the Eternal Judge. The bard did that. The bard lied. The bard is angry. The bard is selfish. The bard is sinful to the core and corrupted. He is not fit to be inheriting the eternal kingdom. All my sins - private and public, secret and known to everyone, he lays before the Judge everything to accuse me to take me to hell with him. To prove that I am not worthy to be saved, not worthy to be redeemed. He lists all of them.  And do you know what this Eternal Judge, my Father has to tell him - I the Lord reject your accusations, Satan (v:2). Though all his accusations were essentially true, though I do not deserve to be saved or redeemed, though I deserve only eternal hell, my Father, the Eternal Judge proclaims that He rejects all the accusations of the enemy. For the bard has been forgiven, the bard has been loved, the bard has been redeemed by the Precious blood of the Son Jesus Christ.  And He c

Pupil of the eye

Zech:2:8 The pupil of the eye is one's most precious possession. All reflexes try to protect the pupil. Pupillary reflex to light is a sign of life. Therefore it is very close to life itself. God says, you are the pupil of His eye. His treasured possession. Very close to His heart. Therefore He will protect you with all His might. That is why He is a protective wall of fire around you. He is a shield around you.  Ps:91:3-6 He will rescue you from every trap And protect you from deadly diseases.  He will cover you with His feathers He will shelter you with His wings His faithful promises are your armour and protection.  Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night Nor the arrow that flies in the day Do not dread the disease that stalks in the darkness Nor the disaster that strikes at midday 10-11 No evil will conquer you No plaque will come near you For He will order His angels To protect you wherever you go.  14-15 The Lord says, "I will rescue those who love me I

Be strong

Hag:2 Be strong - Zerubabbel Be strong - Jeshua Be strong - all you people still left in the land.  My Spirit remains among you, just as I promised.  So do not be afraid.  I will fill this place with glory.  The future glory of this Temple will be greater than it's past glory.  And in this place I will bring peace.  As you rebuild things around you dear one - in your family dear one, in your church, in your own life. Be strong for the Spirit of the Lord is within you. It is His doing to rebuild. Do not be discouragrd. It is with His glory that He is going to fill. Be strong. Do not go down. Cling on to the Master.  There will be disappointmentd and discouragements around that might tend to bring you down. No. Do not give in. Continue to believe in the goodness of God. Continue believe that it is He who is doing. Cling on.  Image credit:  https://stock.adobe.com/in/search?k=strong

Yet

Hab:3:17-19 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms And there are no grapes on the vines Even though the olive crop fails And the fields lie empty and barren Even though the flocks die in the fields And the cattle barns are empty Yet I will rejoice in the Lord I will be joyful in the God of my salvation The Sovereign Lord is my strength He makes me as surefooted as deer Able to tread upon the heights.  Oh! If your life in this world is dry and filled with troubles. Will you be joyful, because of your privilege to know God and because of your salvation? In the midst of tears will you be able to put out a joyful face? Not artificially, but from the depths of your heart. Knowing fully that your Father is in control. And He is good and that Rom:8:28 is true. Like Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, will you be able to confidently tell, even if He doesn't......  If not, you still are lost in what the world has to offer, dear one. Those which the world offers is not from the Fa

Act

Act now.  Zeph:2:2 Gather before judgement begins. Act now.  What should you do, before it is too late? When the opportunity is there, what is it that you are asked to do?  Seek the Lord, all who are humble And follow His commands Seek to do what is right And to live humbly.  That is, to put aside all your pride and live a life that is seeking Him, desirous of Him and devoted to Him. Not running around seeking the pleasures and offers of the world. It is pride that demands for pleasures - the entertainments, the luxuries, the comforts. It is pride that leads to self pity when you do not get these pleasures as desired. Pride is something which rules the heart of everyone, no matter how big or small, how rich or poor, how spiritual or not, he is. It takes patience and courage to accept our fallenness and return. Return when it is yet time. Act.  Image credit:  https://cehs.usu.edu/scce/services/act-guide/
