Bitter


Ruth:1:13b.
Things are far more bitter to me than for you, because the Lord Himself has raised His fist against me.
These are Naomi's words. I don't think she is right in saying this. But I do agree that she is going through a rough patch in her life. One of the most terrible paths she has trodden. She feels dejected and rejected by God Himself.
She feels her sorrows are heavier than what others go through and that she is justified in the way she reacts because she has faced much calamity in comparison with what others had to go through.
Even if you feel that everybody including God has left you alone, do not lose hope for His promise is that He is with you. Even if you feel that the Lord has raised His fist against you, the reality is that His overarching presence is always there over you.

John:14:1
Don't let your heart's be troubled. Trust in God. Trust also in Me.

    Yes, from Naomi's later experience we see how God turned her situation from Ruth and Boaz marrying and still later our Saviour coming from that lineage. How true are His promises! HALLELUJAH!!

1 Cor:16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in faith; act like men; be strong. Watch out. Look out. Be on the alert. Stand firm in faith. That is what men do. Be strong. Stay strong. Dwindling in your trust in God is what children do. Act like the man you are. Be a man. Stay strong on your faith. No matter what happens, hold fast to your God. That is mature faith. Do not let go to fear or anxiety. Be strong. Faith is trusting God, the Father despite what the circumstances look like. Knowing fully that He is in control. That He will take care and thats enough. Until Christ be formed in you. Gal:4:19 That was the sole desire of Paul regarding the Galatians. That Christ be formed in them. Infact that is God's desire in your life. Eph:3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us. Holy Spirit

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession. Eph:1:13-14 The process starts with belief. Once you believe, you are marked ( infact you were marked - past tense. That in itself is another writing). Marked with a seal ie. the promised Holy Spirit. Seal is something which denotes ownership or belonging. The Lord's possession are we (v:14). His precious property. He has put His seal of affirmation upon us, so that the devil cannot lay claim. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is the evidence , the guarantee that you belong to Him.
