Work hard

Ruth goes to pick up grain left behind in Boaz's field. What touched me was the testimony of the foreman about her.
Ruth:2:7 - She has been hard at work.
What would be our testimony at work?
Lazy and shunning responsibilities? Or hardworking?
What would be our testimony as a student?
Complacent and procrastinating duties? Or giving our cent percent?
It is not getting scoring high marks. It is about putting your full effort
Do you work hard or hardly work?

People are watching. How ridiculous your Father would be painted infront of others if you do not do your duties properly and yet proclaim the love of God. Who would want to follow a God whose child is lazy and shunning responsibilities!
Beware.

Point Nemo - A poem

Oh! I feel powerless When I look upon the huge mountain before me When I see my enemy face to face Terrified; filled with fear Hopeless; how will I face this?  My wisdom will not surpass this My strength will not overpower  I waste away thinking of the pit I'm in My bones ache; my joints groan I'm sick to the core.  Every part of my body drags me along.  But then I will remember my Redeemer Who rescues me from all the powers of the enemy The One who is in me is more powerful  Than the one who is in the world.  Those with me are more than Those on the enemy's side.  He reminds me that the enemy is already defeated his head has already been crushed The victory is already yours And the battle is His.  And if God is on my side Who can be against me?  Do not worry. Do not be afraid For I am with you till the end of days Trust in God. Trust also in me Says Jesus who saved you from eternal hell Is anything too hard for Me?  Oh! Now I feel like Chris Brown.  And Point N

Name

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Joel:2:32 In His name there is salvation. And if you call on His name you will be saved for sure.  Jesus.  Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end.  In Him and through Him and for Him everything was created.  Son of God.  Son of David.  Root of Jesse.  Lion of Judah. The Lamb who was slain.  In His name there is freedom. In His name there is deliverance.  Why?  Because He alone has done the redemptive act on the cross. No other name could do that. Sinless perfect lamb of God became a sin offering instead of me.  He alone is worthy to do that. Therefore His name frees. His name delivers. His name saves. Rain

For the rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness Joel:2:23 The rain keeps coming. Season after season. Showers of blessings. Not mercy drops. It proves He is a good God. He is fully in control. He cares for us.  We can see rains as either a curse or as a blessing. How we see it and acknowledge it increases our faith to Him who is faithful. He continues to shower His blessings no matter what the circumstances are. For He is always good. He is always merciful. He is always faithful. Open our eyes and see.  Image credit:  https://www.britannica.com/science/rain

Healing

Hos:14:4 Then I will heal you of your faithlessness As you keep coming back to God's bosom with repentance, He will heal you of your faithlessness. Man has so fallen that the healing of faithlessness takes effort, takes time, takes a lot of grace.  His lovingkindness heals you of this that hampers you most. Your faithlessness, the root cause of your problems, will be healed.  For it is said, without faith it is impossible to please God. From that plight, it is His promise that you will be healed.  And He is faithful. He is true to His word. And when He says it will happen for sure. As you keep coming back to Him, He will heal. What an assurance. Thank you Jesus.  Image credit: https://www.hopechurchhouston.org/blog/2015/3/4/heal-what-a-concept

Damascus

O Damascus. You have sinned again and again. You have bet down my people in Gilead. You have threshed the grains with iron sledges (Amos:1:3). You have been cruel. You have been rebellious.  But in that road to you O Damascus. I will raise up my most used servant. He himself had tortured my own children, my own church. But I will give one opportunity which he cannot resist. Instead of the blood he shed, I will enable him to win souls for me. In that road to you, O Damascus, the cruel Saul will become the gentiles' Paul.  Through you O Damascus I will prove yet again that my hand is not too short to rescue anyone whom I want to save. No pit is too dark that I can't go there to redeem. The cross is the reason. The world will know, O Damascus through you. You will know, O Damascus because of the change you will see in yourself.  Through you O Damascus, everyone will see that the worst of sin that they have committed will be forgiven. No matter how dirty they are, they

To consider

Ps:144:3 O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them Mere mortals that you should think about them?  Man is so futile. Man is so tiny. He might look up the food chain. But he is indeed powerless. He is not the biggest. He is not the strongest. He is not the shrewdest. He is not the fastest. Yet he is on top. For God created man in His own image and likeness.  Considering the variety of life in this world. Considering the magnanimity and vastness of the universe. Considering the enormity that we see or cannot see. What is man to be thought off. To be considered significant. That You were willing to look down upon him and consider redeeming him from his fallenness. For which you chose to come down yourself. You chose to send your own Son. To salvage him from his wretchedness.  Who am I to be loved like this? Who am i to be cared for so unconditionally. I am a mere breath. A mere worm. Yet still you loved me. From the fallen pit you saved me. You dirtied yourself

Picture abhi bhi baaki hai mere dost

Joel:2:25 You might be torn apart by the locusts. By the variety of locusts; one after the other. One swarmed. One hopped all over you. One stripped you. One cut and tore over you. You might be in shreds and pieces because of the repeated and persistent attack which nearly kind of destroyed you. You might not have even known what is happening. Before you even realised, you are in pieces, not able to be brought back to life. The enemy might have been bragging and gloating over his victory over you.  But picture abhi bhi baaki hai mere dost.  It's only the interval.  For God Almighty, the King of Kings declares this revelation in your suspense thriller, which chills the bones of the villian as well as the viewers.  It was I who sent this great destroying army against you.  Oh! Is He that cruel? The twist is too mean for me to digest. Has the hero become the antagonist?  Absolutely no. For He says.  I will give back to you what you lost.  Isa:61:7 Instead of shame and dish
