Smouldered doesn't mean Stopped


Already weak? 
Tired? 
Are you done with? 
You feel your life has been overwhelming? 
Yes life has been cruel? 
Nobody seems to understand? 
And you feel life is gonna continue like this? That you are destined for this? This is your fate? To struggle? To crawl? To weep? 
That your pillows will always be wet of night long crying? 
And dear one, do you think no one else would be going through what you experience. No one would survive being in your shoes? 

Hold on. Your redeemer lives. The Lord's Chosen Servant is here. 
Isa:42:3
A bruised reed he will not break
And a smouldering wick he will not snuff out

It is easy to destroy a reed that's already crushed and snuff out the candle or a wick that is about to stop. The world is specialized in doing that. To crush the inferiors. To mount upon those who are underprivileged. To loot them and fatten your purse. To make fun of the illegitimates and have a laugh about it. To point out some one's negativities and enjoy making fun. To compare with others and say that I am not like that. 

But the underprivileged are always close to His heart. He is pro poor. Not just in monetary basis. The downtrodden. The sick. The cornered. The lonely. 
For He says. Come to me all who are weak and heavy laden. I will give you rest. 

The moment you look at God in your helpless state. There is redemption. For He is a compassionate God. He loves His children. And little does He want His children to go through all these. He will not barge in and crush you further. He is a good God. Trust His deliverance. Wait patiently and you will see His redeeming and protecting hand. 

In fact He will repair that reed and make it more useful. He will rekindle the flame in you and let the light shine through. There is hope. For He is your loving Father.

Be a musician

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. Eph:5:19 Not everyone is a musician. Oh! I can't sing well. I am not musically oriented as others. My voice is croaky and I can't hit those notes. I don't know how to sing. These are comments we often hear. But God is not looking for a performance or a concert. It is in fact a command to be obeyed - sing and make music in your heart to the Lord - not to singers and musicians alone. But to all. Songs are prayers. Hymns are words of praise. Not that the tune is unimportant. But the words communicate more. V:19 starts with, speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs .   Col:3:19. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Eph:2:1-9 Dead. Dead in our transgressions and sins. Disobedient. Gratifying the cravings of the sinful nature. Under the ruler of the kingdom of air. Made alive. By Grace - incomparable riches of His grace. From objects of wrath - made alive with Christ - seated us with Him - in heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. By a God rich in mercy . Stumbling block

Eph:4:2-3 How do I live my life worthy of my calling? - be completely humble. What is there to be proud? When you remember from where you have been saved. Knowing that whatever you have is a gift, that you do not deserve. Knowing that you are an inherent rebel, a wretch, saved by Grace. - gentle. Gentleness comes out of humility. Arrogance and rudeness comes out of pride. Moses was meek enough to write that he was the meekest man ever lived on earth. - patient. Impatience again comes out of a feeling that you are somebody, which you are not. Patience accomodates because of love. Able

Eph:3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us. If this is true, then why do I live a life full of concerns and fears about the uncertainties of the future. Of the things which are out of my control. He has got it under control, because He has created it. Then worry is disrespectful. Because He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power. Holy Spirit

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession. Eph:1:13-14 The process starts with belief. Once you believe, you are marked ( infact you were marked - past tense. That in itself is another writing). Marked with a seal ie. the promised Holy Spirit. Seal is something which denotes ownership or belonging. The Lord's possession are we (v:14). His precious property. He has put His seal of affirmation upon us, so that the devil cannot lay claim. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is the evidence , the guarantee that you belong to Him.
