Calm


People were silent. Isa:36:21
When Sennacherib was outrightly blaspheming God and threatening the people of Israel, as he declares war against King Hezekiah - and that too in Hebrew language so that every single common man could understand the gravity, there was all the more reason to panic and shout back and complain and murmur. 
But the people were silent and did not utter a word. 

There are situations when we should stop over reacting. Stop responding. Stop resounding our heart's feelings. The devil would be running frantically to provoke us. 
But in keeping quiet the victory is half done. In being calm and still and not responding to the enemy's provications, the war is half won. 
Inwardly it might be tumultous. Inwardly you cry to your Father to help, you ask God to intervene, you seek God. But outwardly be calm, be quiet, be still so that you would see the hand of God. Be still and know that He is God.

Name

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Joel:2:32 In His name there is salvation. And if you call on His name you will be saved for sure.  Jesus.  Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end.  In Him and through Him and for Him everything was created.  Son of God.  Son of David.  Root of Jesse.  Lion of Judah. The Lamb who was slain.  In His name there is freedom. In His name there is deliverance.  Why?  Because He alone has done the redemptive act on the cross. No other name could do that. Sinless perfect lamb of God became a sin offering instead of me.  He alone is worthy to do that. Therefore His name frees. His name delivers. His name saves. Rain

For the rain He sends demonstrates His faithfulness Joel:2:23 The rain keeps coming. Season after season. Showers of blessings. Not mercy drops. It proves He is a good God. He is fully in control. He cares for us.  We can see rains as either a curse or as a blessing. How we see it and acknowledge it increases our faith to Him who is faithful. He continues to shower His blessings no matter what the circumstances are. For He is always good. He is always merciful. He is always faithful. My heart's desire

Hos:6:6 I want you to know me More than I want burnt offerings.  God is so passionateoy in love with you that He wants the best in you. And He knows, that best in you is fulfilled only if you are in Him; only if you know Him fully.  John:17:3 And this is eternal life - to know you the only true God and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.  Here are we, who concentrate more on what we can do for God. It was sacrifices at that time. Now it is alms or giving to church and ministry. We have missed the mark. Do we do these things because we love God? What do we concentrate on? Doing or being?  First we are loved and then we are asked to do. First we are children redeemed by the blood, then we are co workers.  For God so loved us that He gave us the privilege to be called children of God. Healing

Hos:14:4 Then I will heal you of your faithlessness As you keep coming back to God's bosom with repentance, He will heal you of your faithlessness. Man has so fallen that the healing of faithlessness takes effort, takes time, takes a lot of grace.  His lovingkindness heals you of this that hampers you most. Your faithlessness, the root cause of your problems, will be healed.  For it is said, without faith it is impossible to please God. From that plight, it is His promise that you will be healed.  And He is faithful. He is true to His word. And when He says it will happen for sure. As you keep coming back to Him, He will heal. To consider

Ps:144:3 O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them Mere mortals that you should think about them?  Man is so futile. Man is so tiny. He might look up the food chain. But he is indeed powerless. He is not the biggest. He is not the strongest. He is not the shrewdest. He is not the fastest. Yet he is on top. For God created man in His own image and likeness.  Considering the variety of life in this world. Considering the magnanimity and vastness of the universe. Considering the enormity that we see or cannot see. What is man to be thought off. To be considered significant. That You were willing to look down upon him and consider redeeming him from his fallenness. For which you chose to come down yourself. You chose to send your own Son. To salvage him from his wretchedness.  Who am I to be loved like this? Who am i to be cared for so unconditionally. I am a mere breath. A mere worm. Yet still you loved me. Joel:2:25 You might be torn apart by the locusts. By the variety of locusts; one after the other. One swarmed. One hopped all over you. One stripped you. One cut and tore over you. The enemy might have been bragging and gloating over his victory over you.  But picture abhi bhi baaki hai mere dost.  It's only the interval.  For God Almighty, the King of Kings declares this revelation in your suspense thriller, which chills the bones of the villian as well as the viewers.  It was I who sent this great destroying army against you.  Oh!
