How much do you love your wife?


A question that men need to ask themselves, may be every moment of their lives. Your soul mate. Your companion which your Creator has given you. To love. To care for. To nurture. 
Eph:5:25 is a clear admonition to us. Husbands ought to love their wives just like Christ loved the church. How? 
By giving up Himself for her. Selfless. Not putting your interests above hers. Not giving importance to your desires, but hers. 
To make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word. Husband is the head of the family. Though the present day might not want to agree. Eph:5:23 clearly says. Husband is the head of the wife (note:not family). It is not something to gorge upon. But a responsibility. Most importantly he is her spiritual head. A head sees to it that the parts of the body is protected, nurtured, taken care of. Not as a dictator who would want his subjects to listen to his opinion whatsoever. We see this among Isaac and Rebekah. Gen 25:21 - Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The Lord answered his prayer. Her most important need in her life was identified by her husband. And how did he take care of it? Submitted to the Lord. As spiritual heads, how well do we pray for our wife's needs-their physical, their spiritual, emotional and intellectual needs. I know of many men who do that. Realizing this and practising this could actually change our family too. It is the responsibility of men to spiritually nurture for your wife, teach them the word, cleanse them through the word, pray for them and their needs, intercede for them. 
This is the greatest privilege a man can get. The tender hearted flower as she is, has been handed over to you to be taken care of by your master. Would you pluck off the petals or the thorns? 
And finally to present her to himself as a radiant church without stain and wrinkle. What a wonderful privilege it would be stand before the master one day and hear the blessed words. Well done good and faithful servant- regarding your roles as husbands.

Generation gap

A message for children.  Pro:1:8 My child listen when your father corrects you Don't neglect your mother's instruction Generation gap.  A terminology we snuggly fit in to ease the discomfort in a difficult relationship between a father and a son or a mother and a daughter. Children say they are older generation. They don't understand the present scenario. They don't understand our needs. Their advises are all old fashioned. Not fitting into the present world.  Little do they understand that their parents also might have felt the similar way about their parents only to realise the value of their parent's admonitions later on in their lives as adults. Trust

He is close to those who trust in Him. Nah:1:7 Oh! When you feel all alone in this dark world. When you feel you don't have anyone to lean on to. There is one person who promised to be with you, always, to the end of days. He has promised to never leave or forsake you. All we have to do is to just trust in Him. He is true. He will never fail. When you don't have anything else to do......

In the fish's belly Jonah was there for three days and three nights. In that dark place, he could only look to God. He could not run away, which he was so specialized in. He couldn't do anything else which he was an expert. He couldn't do anything he wanted to desperately do. All he could do was to sit in God's presence.  Sometimes God places you in circumstances where you can only pray. You can do nothing else. And at that time, please pray. Do not try to do anything else. Even if you do not feel like praying, that is the time when you are supposed to. Helpless as you are, you can open up to your Father. Words do not matter at that time. The Holy Temple

Micah:1:5 Where is the center of idolatory on Judah?  In Jerusalem; it's capital.  The very place which was supposed to be kept sacred and holy, has now been defiled and become the very center of desecration. Fully polluted and corrupted. Why should He not be wrathful?  The heart of holiness; which was supposed to be the throne of the most High God with all His richness and glory has been befouled and debased.  The very heart dear bard - which is supposed to be the temple of the most Holy God, what all do you entertain? Confines the king to a corner in your quiet times and church and bible study. As if you give charity and satisfy Him and then you do whatever you want, the rest of the time.  You think you can fool around with His holiness?
