Gen 6:5 And He saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.
This is actually the plight of you and me. Anything that we think or do is consistently and totally evil. We are naturally inclined to do things which hurt God, which breaks His heart (v:6) because of the fall.
But Noah found favour with the Lord v:8
How is it possible? Was Noah sinless? Not at all. Noah also had that element of sin in him which had the tendency to rebel against God, to break His heart, but how is it that He found favour with God's heart?
Nothing much is said about that aspect of Noah, except that he did everything exactly as God commanded him.
When you read the Word of God, if the Spirit of God convinces me, do I immediately and completely obey? If the Word of God convicts me of a sin do I repent immediately?
A life in tune with God will be fruitful life indeed. A life alligned with His word is the abundant life He promised.
