Voices that we hear


So God created /made
It is a recurring term that comes in the story of creation. My eldest one was asking last day. How did God create? He did not create with His hands right? I told yes it was through His word, His voice He created(Except the creation of man). It was difficult for him to fully understand that. 
It's very difficult for us to comprehend too, because we are limited in our understanding, finite in our comprehension. We are not beings who can create by our words. We are used to being creative by our hands. 
Moulding clay. 
Drawing picturesque scenes. 
Writing life like stories and poems. 
As a healthcare professional - part taking in the healing process. 
As a labourer - setting up a beautiful garden. 
As a chef - making sumptuous delicious mouth watering delicacies. 
As an engineer- developing a software or an infrastructure
All these are works of our hands. 
We as finite beings will not be able to do these by the power of our words. So little do we comprehend when the Almighty, All powerful God creates everything that we see and do not see by the power of the utterances of His word. 
 His word creates Heb:11:3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command. 
His word sustains Heb:1:3 He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command. 
His word is in the final scene too Heb:12:26
When God spoke from Mount Sinai, His voice shook the earth, but now He makes another promise, Once again I will shake not only the earth but heavens also. This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed. 

Throughout the Psalms we have references which point to creation, sustenance and consummation by His word. 
His word is power. John 1 says it is this word who became flesh and lived among us. Jesus Christ. It is the same voice which said 'Father forgive them'
The Word of God, who is Jesus has immense power in your life. Beyond what you can comprehend, as I said, because we are more of doing kind of people and less of listening or speaking people. 
If at all we are regular in seeking His voice, listening to Him. On a daily basis. How different our lives will be. That is what the Holy God always desires - to commune with you as friend. That is the key to life in its fullness. A life which was originally designed for you. Abundant life. 
Listen to not the voices around you, but to the voice that matters.

Short of words - a prose

To Him who loves us and has fixed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a Kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father. Rev:1:5-6 What a privilege. Blessed privilege. Given. Gifted. Stained - a poem

Jude 23 Hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. Oh! Child of God, what is your approach to stain? Why compromise to wear a cloth Which the Lord loathes It brings intense detest to Him! But it allures you. Why? It disgusts Him. It actually smells so bad. But why are you attracted to it? Why do you admire? Why do you cherish? This is not just on the clothing It spreads. It disseminates into you It makes the air around you impure too. It brings in a stench. It stinks like skunk. But why has it becomes a fragrance to you? Why don't you realise your folly? Do not be surprised

Do not be surprised my brothers, if the world hates you.  1 John:3:13 No element of surprise. Expect the worst. Expect hatred. Expect no love. Then you won't be surprised. Because the world hated Jesus first. The world. Not directed to people. The system. We are enemies of the evil one.  So naturally the principalities of this world will fight. Hate. Love is walk - a prose

2 John:6 And this is love, that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. Love is obedience. Obeying His command of love. Everything you do is based on love. Love to God; and love to others. Love is the source based on which you act; you live Love not manufactured from broken cisterns But love that pours out from the source of unending living waters. Without love you do something is not genuine, but superficial and mechanical And that is not walking as He walked. He walked with love. He lived with love. Eternal life

What is eternal life? 1 John:2:24-25 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what He promised us - even eternal life. The Triune God remaining in you and you in Him, is eternal life.  John:17:3  - Now this is eternal life. That they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent Eternal life is not something you will receive on the other side of death. Golden streets, the river that will continue to flow without being dried up, fruits on trees in all season. Eternal life is now. It is knowing Him and remaining in Him. Life in all its abundance. Life to the fullest as it is designed to be. Yes it extends to eternity.  That it is not limited to a time frame, is just one dimension to it.
