Many quarrels and unrest have outbroken between siblings because of the disparity they think, they have inherited. Many people haven't talked to their relatives, out of this unrest. Getting a share is often considered as a right. Owning an inheritance as a bonus, where as actually it is a gift.

If your eyes are set on such things, you will be disappointed for sure. Elisha had his eyes set on something different. He even asked for a double share. A double share of the spirit that is in Elijah and be his successor.
But because he desired the right thing, he was given it as well. No disappointments.

Q#1 What share do I desire from my parents? What examples do I want to follow? What inheritance do I aspire from my spiritual mentors?

Q#2 What example do I leave behind to my children? What would my children (physical and spiritual) and juniors desire to have from me? What would they want to emulate? Would they want a double portion of the spirit that is in me?

  1. When our eyes are fixed on the created rather than on our Creator we are setting ourselves up for disaster and dissatisfaction
