Hungry


Hazael was hungry for power. Till then a  nobody, schemed and did evil because of his wanting for power. He killed his own king.
Jehoram, had probably one of the best examples to follow, his own father, king Jehoshaphath who was a man who followed God's ways, went to extent a hand of peace with King of Judah. But he chose to follow the evil ways of the king of Israel because of the influence of King Ahab's daughter his wife.
His son Ahaziah, due to the influence of his mother, also chose to do evil in the eyes of God.
2Kings:8

Your choices are determined by your influences. It could be your inner influences - your greed, your desires, your passions. Or it could be external influences.
Whatever it is, make sure dear one, it is God directed. Because that is the key to live a life of fulfilment, life in abundance, which the creator has designed you for.
For if you run after your greed and desires and passions, it would be yours that it would satisfy, and that would never be fully satisfied. Keeping on wanting for more. Hungry for more.
And if it is your loved one's desires that you want to satisfy. That wouldn't completely satisfy them and you would want to do more to please them.

It was Blaise Pascal who said - There is a God shaped vaccum in each of our hearts which can be filled only by God. When we force to fill it with money or music or skills or talents or training or job or vocation or movies or entertainment or binge watching or power or fame, IT WOULD NEVER FIT IN. Continue to be that void in you. Wanting for more. Hungry for more.

Do not try to satisfy the person in you, not your influencers. But be satisfied in the One who said, "I will satisfy you."

Be a man.

1 Cor:16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in faith; act like men; be strong. Watch out. Look out. Be on the alert. Stand firm in faith. That is what men do. Be strong. Stay strong. Dwindling in your trust in God is what children do. Act like the man you are. Be a man. Stay strong on your faith. No matter what happens, hold fast to your God. That is mature faith. Do not let go to fear or anxiety. Be strong. Faith is trusting God, the Father despite what the circumstances look like. Knowing fully that He is in control. That He will take care and thats enough. Until Christ be formed in you. Gal:4:19 That was the sole desire of Paul regarding the Galatians. That Christ be formed in them. Infact that is God's desire in your life. That Christ be formed in you completely. Formed fully in you. That you be transformed into the likeness of Christ Jesus. To purge out all evil. Able

Eph:3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us. If this is true, then why do I live a life full of concerns and fears about the uncertainties of the future. Of the things which are out of my control. He has got it under control, because He has created it. Then worry is disrespectful. Because He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power. Stumbling block

Eph:4:2-3 How do I live my life worthy of my calling? - be completely humble. What is there to be proud? When you remember from where you have been saved. Knowing that whatever you have is a gift, that you do not deserve. Knowing that you are an inherent rebel, a wretch, saved by Grace. - gentle. Gentleness comes out of humility. Arrogance and rudeness comes out of pride. Moses was meek enough to write that he was the meekest man ever lived on earth. - patient. Impatience again comes out of a feeling that you are somebody, which you are not. Patience accomodates because of love. Holy Spirit

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession. Eph:1:13-14 The process starts with belief. Once you believe, you are marked ( infact you were marked - past tense. That in itself is another writing). Marked with a seal ie. the promised Holy Spirit. Seal is something which denotes ownership or belonging. The Lord's possession are we (v:14). His precious property. He has put His seal of affirmation upon us, so that the devil cannot lay claim. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is the evidence , the guarantee that you belong to Him.
