Judge


Making fun of Elisha, was not a good thing - if you ask the forty two boys, who felt the brunt of the curse of Elisha and was mauled by two bears - 2Kings:2:23-25
No matter what! Ridiculing an elder or a minister of God is not right. Or judging them. This is my view point. I don't know whether you can agree. But I'm convinced. I might have failed. I seek forgiveness.
It is between them and God. Who am I to? If you can take a leaf out of their lives and course correct yours, rather than pointing fingers.
As a matter of fact who are we to judge any one? Jesus says - First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friends eye. He infact starts by saying - Do not judge others.
The truth is, the log in your eye and the speck in their eye is made of the same material. You are seeing the speck only because there is a huge log in your eye.

If it is pride that you see - it is pride that you struggle with. Repent.
If it is sexual sin that you point finger at, in another's life, it is the very same thing that you have an issue with. Repent.
If it is anger, so are you. Repent.
If it's financial mismanagement that you see so obviously and ridicule them, then you have that same issue. Repent.

Jesus says - For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. Matt:7:2

You who do it secretly, is even guilty.

    Taking a leaf out of David...said he will not raise a finger against Saul since he was 'anointed of the lord' So too, when dealing with servants of God, let us be wary of our comments and acts against them!! Leave those in His hands

      Amen. Saul was fully wrong and David was fully innocent. Yet David did not raise his hands against the Lord's anointed. Truly a man after God's own heart

    Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."how to understand this?is that verse asking us to judge rightly.. more than anything most scrupulously our faults

      Who has the right to judge rightly. The one who is right I believe. So first we have to set ourselves right before the righteous judge..

1 Cor:16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in faith; act like men; be strong. Watch out. Look out. Be on the alert. Stand firm in faith. That is what men do. Be strong. Stay strong. Dwindling in your trust in God is what children do. Act like the man you are. Be a man. Stay strong on your faith. No matter what happens, hold fast to your God. That is mature faith. Covenantal Promise

Gal:3:17 What I am saying is this: the Law which came four hundred and thirty years later does not invalidate a covenant previously ratified by God; so as to nullify the promise. The covenantal Promise was given first. Later the Law. Therefore the Law isn't greater. The Promise is. The Law doesn't invalidate it. But ascertains it. It was an addendum. The promise is based on grace alone. Not that grace came along afterwards. It was not by deeds that Abraham was saved. Abraham believed God and it was credited to Him as righteousness.  So does it mean that the election is based on your  faith? Holy Spirit

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession. Eph:1:13-14 The process starts with belief. Once you believe, you are marked ( infact you were marked - past tense. That in itself is another writing). Marked with a seal ie. the promised Holy Spirit. Seal is something which denotes ownership or belonging. The Lord's possession are we (v:14). His precious property. He has put His seal of affirmation upon us, so that the devil cannot lay claim. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is the evidence , the guarantee that you belong to Him.
