Giving alibi, is mostly to repel punishment
To averse from the fear that is in our heart
To run away from consequence, I give excuse
I justify, like Saul in front of Samuel
I point finger at others too,
I was not alone in this, he was there too.
Or he was the one who suggested
It is to escape, or he should be punished too
David accepted his mistake, a man after God's own heart
No excuses, no alibi, just repented
Saul gave excuses, it was to sacrifice
I obeyed the Lord, partly, he said
Samuel replies, "to obey is better than sacrifice"
To submit and not to rebel
To be stubborn, is as bad as idol worship.
Accept and repent, the Lord advocates.
Giving excuse is rebellion
Giving excuse is being stubborn
But if I would accept my mistake
And own up and repent and seek forgiveness!
