Confidence


Psalm 31 is a cry for help to God. It is when you realize you are utterly helpless, you seek help. If you feel capable of coming out of the situation you are in, will you not solve your own problems? David asks for protection. God is my rock and my fortress. He pleads, "pull me from the trap of my enemies" Drag me out. Rescue me. 
He prays to God to have mercy on him. Tears blur my eyes, because I'm sad of my situation I'm in. Because of it my body and soul also withers away. Because of grief and sadness. And also because of sin. 
After all the blurting out of his struggles, he expressed his confidence and trust in the Lord. v:14 onwards
I will trust. 
You are my God. 
My future is in your hands. 
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. 
You hide them in the shelter of your presence. 
You shelter them in your presence. 
He has shown me the wonders of His unfailing love. 
He kept me safe. 
You heard my cry for mercy
And answered my call. 

The confidence and faith he has in his prayer answering God comes out of the belief that God will take care. I just need to trust Him. I just need not worry. 
V:24 So be strong and courageous
All you who put your hope in the Lord. 

How much we need to put our confidence in Him? We need to cling on to Him? He who is faithful. 

John:16:33 Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. 

Your problem might look too huge for you to handle alone. But take courage. He who is in you is more powerful than he who is in the world. Pour out your heart to your Father, trust in Him. Have confidence in His ways. 

Ask the saviour to help you
Comfort strengthen and keep you
He is willing to aide you
He will carry you through

Be a man.

1 Cor:16:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in faith; act like men; be strong. Watch out. Look out. Be on the alert. Stand firm in faith. That is what men do. Be strong. Stay strong. Dwindling in your trust in God is what children do. Act like the man you are. Be a man. Stay strong on your faith. No matter what happens, hold fast to your God. That is mature faith. Do not let go to fear or anxiety. Be strong. Faith is trusting God, the Father despite what the circumstances look like. Knowing fully that He is in control. That He will take care and thats enough. Eph:2:1-9 Dead. Dead in our transgressions and sins. Disobedient. Gratifying the cravings of the sinful nature. Under the ruler of the kingdom of air. Made alive. Until Christ be formed in you. Gal:4:19 That was the sole desire of Paul regarding the Galatians. That Christ be formed in them. Infact that is God's desire in your life. That Christ be formed in you completely. Formed fully in you. That you be transformed into the likeness of Christ Jesus. To purge out all evil. Holy Spirit

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession. Eph:1:13-14 The process starts with belief. Once you believe, you are marked ( infact you were marked - past tense. That in itself is another writing). Marked with a seal ie. the promised Holy Spirit. Seal is something which denotes ownership or belonging. The Lord's possession are we (v:14). His precious property. He has put His seal of affirmation upon us, so that the devil cannot lay claim. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is the evidence , the guarantee that you belong to Him. Is the Holy Spirit active in your life? Are you receptive and responsive to the nudgings of the third person of Trinity? The Holy Spirit of God. Able

Eph:3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us. If this is true, then why do I live a life full of concerns and fears about the uncertainties of the future. Of the things which are out of my control. He has got it under control, because He has created it. Then worry is disrespectful. Because He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power. Pour out your fears to the Solid Rock. Vocalize it. He will take care for sure, for He cares. Trust Him. Firmly believe that He is enough. Lean not on your own understanding.
