Reflect - poem

Isa:49:3

He said to me; You are my servant

Israel in who I display my splendour.

The Lord's glory displayed in me

From head to toe, I am His reflection.

Created in His image and likeness

Every single cell is His shadow.

He hath created me thus

He sustains for this purpose

As a mirror image of His glory

Though I'm fallen, He is my crown.

Yet set backs might come.

But still I'm His embodiment

His temple is my body

For His cleansing is upon me.

Though I may not feel, at times

Though I may not feel worthy

Yet I am, for He says so

And therefore, that remains the truth.

What is important, dear one?

"You will be made head and not the tail"?

Not at all, let that be God's headache, not yours

For your life is not for your glory, but His.

He should increase, I should decrease

That should be my thought

But I'm so self conscious.

Dethrone yourself from that throne.

Father forgive me, if I've not given you glory

If I've not reflected you

For that is the difference I need to make

I'm just a planet, not a star.

Everything we need

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 2 Pet:1:3 Everything we need for our life in this present world; all our material needs; all our basic needs. And also for godliness; that is to grow in the knowledge of God; to build up in a relationship with God. Everything that you can think of. Everything you can ask for. Everything that you need. Has been given. It is yours for the taking. He will provide. For His name is Jehovah Jireh. Only we have to take it. Only we have to believe it and receive it. Why has He given us this? Is it because of our goodness? Is it because God foresaw our good deeds and therefore He gave it? Not at all. Wretched, poor, blind, naked as we are. He just gave it to us. The Revelation

Revelation is often considered a difficult book to understand. A book which you often can't make head or tail of. Full of prophecies about what is about to happen. How do you interpret it in the present scenario. Who is antichrist. Where is a loving God in this? Unanswered questions all around. But here is a promise. Rev:1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. The attempt is not to give full answers to all your questions. The attempt is to read and hear and believe, so that we would all be blessed. Because the time is very short. Read and hear and believe. Eternal life

What is eternal life? 1 John:2:24-25 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what He promised us - even eternal life. The Triune God remaining in you and you in Him, is eternal life. John:17:3 - Now this is eternal life. That they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent Eternal life is not something you will receive on the other side of death. Husband and wife

Unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. 1 Pet:3:4 Though this is told to the wives; it is a very good admonition for all of us. To have a gentle and quiet spirit, is an incomparable unfading inner beauty. The real beauty is not your outwardly appearance. Real beauty is your inner spirit - to be gentle and quiet. Do not be surprised

Do not be surprised my brothers, if the world hates you. 1 John:3:13 No element of surprise. Expect the worst. Expect hatred. Expect no love. Then you won't be surprised. Because the world hated Jesus first. The world. Not directed to people. The system. We are enemies of the evil one. So naturally the principalities of this world will fight. Hate. Love is walk - a prose

2 John:6 And this is love, that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. Love is obedience. Obeying His command of love. Everything you do is based on love. Love to God; and love to others. Love is the source based on which you act; you live Love not manufactured from broken cisterns But love that pours out from the source of unending living waters. Without love you do something is not genuine, but superficial and mechanical And that is not walking as He walked. He walked with love. He lived with love. Love to the Father.
