Ichabod

Phinehas' wife was pregnant with due date nearing, when Israel was defeated, her husband killed, the Ark taken away and hearing which Eli fell down and died. Hearing all these tragic news in one go, she went into labour and gave birth to a baby boy. She named him Ichabod which means "Where is the glory?", saying the glory has departed from Israel for the Ark of God has been captured.
The pandemic creating havoc around the globe. So much of murder and rapes happening around. Cheat and fraud cases on the rise. Bribery and Havalah's running around. The questions that keep arising is the same. "Where is the glory?" Where is God? Why is God silent? Is there God at all?
No my question back is, why do you want to point fingers at God for the issues of man. Man has for so long declared his rebellion and independence from God by disobeying Him. God, when He created, everything was well and good, till man fell. So whatever despoilation that we encounter, God is not responsible, man is. So the question to be asked is not to God, but to man.
Agreed, the question that would follow is - is not God in control? Why does He allow?

Eph:2:2 In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

Once sin entered the world, the evil one is at work in man's heart. And the devil reiterates that in the second temptation of Jesus.
A day is coming, when Jesus will come back to claim everything which is rightfully His. Will you be able to stand before Him?
It is easy to question God. It is easy to say reasoning and logic would lead you otherwise. But search and find, that evidence of God is stronger.

But if the Spirit triggers you today, do not keep it aside.

    True, we are responsible for the mess we create, but God will do it all new when we return. Is 43:19

The Revelation

Revelation is often considered a difficult book to understand. A book which you often can't make head or tail of. Full of prophecies about what is about to happen. How do you interpret it in the present scenario. Who is antichrist. Where is a loving God in this? Unanswered questions all around. But here is a promise. Rev:1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. The attempt is not to give full answers to all your questions. The attempt is to read and hear and believe, so that we would all be blessed. Because the time is very short. Read and hear and believe. Stained - a poem

Jude 23 Hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. Oh! Child of God, what is your approach to stain? Why compromise to wear a cloth Which the Lord loathes It brings intense detest to Him! The Alpha and The Omega

I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Rev 1:8.  Said by Jesus Christ, written in red letter in my Bible. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega the last. The beginning and the end. He means he is all the letters in between. Everything that we see or cannot see starts and ends with him, runs through him, created in him, through him, for him, by him. You and I are for him.  To explain further, he says, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Echoing what we read in v:4 about the Father. Reiterates the deityhood of Jesus. In fact, Jesus claims, I and the Father are one.  Why should we know all these? Jesus is the center of what we believe. The son is God and equal with the Father and the key to all creation. Do not be surprised my brothers, if the world hates you.  1 John:3:13 No element of surprise. Expect the worst. Expect hatred. Expect no love. Then you won't be surprised. 2 John:6 And this is love, that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. Love is obedience. Obeying His command of love. Everything you do is based on love. Love to God; and love to others. Love is the source based on which you act; you live Love not manufactured from broken cisterns But love that pours out from the source of unending living waters.
