Rejection


For it is Me they are rejecting

Ho! How painful a statement this is from God. All of His pains and hurts are ebbing at this juncture of time. When Israel goes to Samuel to get them a king, though Samuel was displeased, it was God's heart that they have hurt. "They don't want me to be their king anylonger. Eversince I brought them out of Egypt they have continually abandoned me and followed other gods."
Everytime we give something else or someone else our priority, skipping our personal time with Him, or not relating to Him as our friend, not asking Him counsel - it hurts God, because we are rejecting Him.
I have faced the burden of being rejected by people. I know how much it hurts. How much more when it comes from people whom we dearly love, that's when we realize that they don't love us as we do!
That is in no comparison as to the pain of God Himself. No one has loved you as He did, even gave away all the privilieges in heaven and died for redeeming you. If He gets rejected again and again and again, how painful it might be.
The same aching heart we see in Isaiah. Where God compared Himself to a person who took care of His vineyard, but the grapes were bitter.
He cries out aloud in Isa:5:3-4
Now you people of Jerusalem and Judah
You judge between me and my vineyard
What more could I have done for my vineyard
That I have not already done?
When I expected sweet grapes
Why did my vineyard give me bitter grapes?
When this God invites you to resist against the evil one, why did you fall repeatedly?
When He asks you to grow until the head that is Christ, why do you keep refuting Him and keep reflecting your old master?
Why are you envious? Why are you jealous? Why are you proud?
Why do you want to keep seeking the things of the world and keep rejecting the Lord?
When He invites you to love everyone, even your enemies, why do you hate even your brother?
Why are you ashamed or scared to talk about your Saviour and Father?

Oh what more could have been done?

We are lazy, content in our comfort zones
We want to keep our area safe
We are so self obsessed with ourselves
It's high time, we rather pay heed to God's heart and look at things from His perspective.
When King David understood that aching heart of his God and how much he has hurt Him, he decided to change his course.

The Revelation

Revelation is often considered a difficult book to understand. A book which you often can't make head or tail of. Full of prophecies about what is about to happen. How do you interpret it in the present scenario. Who is antichrist. Where is a loving God in this? Unanswered questions all around. But here is a promise. Rev:1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. The attempt is not to give full answers to all your questions. The attempt is to read and hear and believe, so that we would all be blessed. Because the time is very short. Read and hear and believe. Stained - a poem

Jude 23 Hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. Oh! Child of God, what is your approach to stain? Why compromise to wear a cloth Which the Lord loathes It brings intense detest to Him! The Alpha and The Omega

I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, Rev 1:8.  Said by Jesus Christ, written in red letter in my Bible. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega the last. The beginning and the end. He means he is all the letters in between. Everything that we see or cannot see starts and ends with him, runs through him, created in him, through him, for him, by him. You and I are for him.  To explain further, he says, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Echoing what we read in v:4 about the Father. Reiterates the deityhood of Jesus. In fact, Jesus claims, I and the Father are one.  Why should we know all these? Jesus is the center of what we believe. The son is God and equal with the Father and the key to all creation. Do not be surprised my brothers, if the world hates you.  1 John:3:13 No element of surprise. Expect the worst. Expect hatred. Expect no love. Then you won't be surprised. 2 John:6 And this is love, that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. Love is obedience. Obeying His command of love. Everything you do is based on love. Love to God; and love to others.
