Psalm:24:3
Who may climb the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
A question that the Psalmist asks as an introspection, to self, as a desire. His longing is to climb the holy mountain and stand in the magnificent presence of his God, just like Moses did. As he realises his Father's holiness and thence his wretchedness he pens down, "those whose hands and hearts are pure"
We, wretched as we are, can gain access to this Holy God's presence only with cleansing and purification. That is what happened on the cross. It is His righteousness that He has bestowed upon us. It is our punishment that He received there. So that we could gain access to His presence, to Him.
But do you value it?
Do you honour that right relationship with God?
One day anyway, you will have to stand before Him. Whether you are washed by His blood would become the rate limiting step then. Whether you valued your relationship with God would then matter.
