When I look at Gideon, I see myself. More than Elijah, I feel Gideon is more like me. Always having doubts, asking for signs. Asking queries to God. Lacking confidence in doing things for God.
But yet the fact that Gideon was used mightily by God, challenges me and encourages me. I can be of use too. He strengthens. He empowers. He was called mighty warrior even before he accomplished anything.
You and I are mighty warriors for God because He chose us, not because we have achieved any good thing
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
1 Corinthians 1:27
