Ps:142:5

Then I pray to you O Lord

I say, You are my place of refuge

You are all I really want in life

When we really understand that the Lord alone is my refuge, that He is all I really want, that is the release point in our lives, into another level of deliverance. Till then we try God like other things. Let God work along with other means - medicines, doctors, surgeries, physiotherapy, borrowing money, extra tuitions. We are focussed on solutions, results.

But through it all, if we can realize the truth that it is God we really need through all these circumstances and all our needs will be met by the rich King.

Not to His hands we look for provisions. But to His heart we look for His character. Jehovah Jireh is forest His character, His attribute and then a tangible reality. He is enough. He is more than enough.

Then we will be able to sing with Habakkuk - Even though the fig trees have no blossoms and there are no grapes on the vines.

Even though the olive crop fails

And the fields lie empty and barren

Even though the flocks die in the fields

And the cattle barns are empty

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord

I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.

Everything we need

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 2 Pet:1:3 Everything we need for our life in this present world; all our material needs; all our basic needs. To have a gentle and quiet spirit, is an incomparable unfading inner beauty. The real beauty is not your outwardly appearance. Real beauty is your inner spirit - to be gentle and quiet. Not to be quarrelsome. Not to be picking fights. But to be a peacmaker. especially in your family. V:1. Wives, in the same way, be submissive to your husbands. In which same way? The Revelation

Revelation is often considered a difficult book to understand. A book which you often can't make head or tail of. Full of prophecies about what is about to happen. How do you interpret it in the present scenario. Who is antichrist. Where is a loving God in this? Unanswered questions all around. But here is a promise. Rev:1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy and blessed are those who hear it and take it to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. The attempt is not to give full answers to all your questions. The attempt is to read and hear and believe, so that we would all be blessed. Because the time is very short. Read and hear and believe. Eternal life

What is eternal life? 1 John:2:24-25 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what He promised us - even eternal life. The Triune God remaining in you and you in Him, is eternal life. John:17:3 - Now this is eternal life. Giving is better than getting

Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. 1John:2:15 If you love the world, then the love of the Father is not in you. Anything of this world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, these are the things that you can summarise about the world. These are not of the Father. If you have these, it is evident that the love of the Father is not in you. The cravings of your body, the second look that you look, the boasts of your life, are against the Spirit who is in you. Anything self centred is not from the Father. Anything that gives you selfish pleasure is not from the Father. But anything that pleases the Father is centred around selfless love. To give. Do not be surprised my brothers, if the world hates you. 1 John:3:13 No element of surprise. Expect the worst. Expect hatred. Expect no love. Then you won't be surprised. Because the world hated Jesus first. The world. Not directed to people. The system. We are enemies of the evil one. So naturally the principalities of this world will fight. Hate.
