Eze:3:14 I went in bitterness and turmoil, but the Lord's hold on me was strong.
Bitterness and turmoil, difficulties and problems, fears and apprehensions - they might hold you in various phases of your life. But the Lord's hold on you will be stronger. For He is a strong tower. He is mighty.
Do not be afraid of what is around you, what you see around. These might look scary. But let us pray like Elisha, Lord open our eyes that we may see. And we will indeed see that, there are more on our side than on theirs (1 Kings:6:16-17)
Always remember - the One who is in you is more powerful than the one who is in the world (1 John:4:4)
And no evil will conquer you
No plague will come near your home (Ps:91:10)
The devil cannot even touch you, forget about holding. The devil is just trying to frighten you from the outside. Trying to bring your morale down by making you fearful. But Jesus says - Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God and trust also in me (John:14:1)
Fear is the expected response in times of trouble. But a natural response to fear is trust.
When I am afraid, I will trust in you (Ps:56:3)
Let this be our prayer - Lord enable me to hold on to you. Because your hold on me is stronger.
