The word seek keeps coming back to me.
Today it comes with urgency, with seriousness and exigency.
During the time of King Asa, all of Judah entered into a covenant with the Lord to seek Him with all their heart and soul (2Chron:15:12). And because they sought Him, they found Him (v:15).
A God who promises to be in a love relation with us, when we earnestly seek Him. A God who promises to be there even if we desert Him.
But we have been tossed about; we have been waxing and waning; we have been in that sinus curve; with no cohesion; with no harmony; with no eagerness; with no earnestness.
Earnestness means - no matter what situation you are in, you continue to do what you are supposed to do. Nothing would deter you.
That just doesn't mean regularising your quiet time. It is just a means of earnestly seeking. Not just being regular in church or prayer or fellowship, but the end result of you being in harmony with the Spirit; that you trust in Him no matter what; you cling on to Him no matter what; you enjoy Him althroughout the day.
The word 'seek' in itself has so much to seek in order to understand what He means when He said 'seek Him.'
