Jer:2:14 Why has Israel become a slave?
Slave? Not at all. I am free.
All my rights. All my advocations are all toward freedom. Freedom from the ultimate lawgiver. God cannot plan out my life based on His laws. I have my own set of rules. I am good enough.

Man to God.
It is for freedom that you have been called. Which means that you are indeed in slavery. Man's desire to be free in itself proves that he is in slavery. In fact man's desire to be free is misconceived as something he gains to do on his own.
Hello! That choice sometime back ended up outside the garden of Eden.
Slave to sin is now given a privilege to freedom. Freedom to say no to things which demolish you, destroy you and make you futile and ineffective. The enemy's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus has come to give you everlasting life.
We often think freedom is the ability to do whatever you want. There is lawlessness and chaos in that. One man's freedom would be another man's slavery. There is expression of freedom in one. At the same time there is bondage for the other. In toto mankind is totally under bondage. You think of yourself alone when you want to express freedom. There is slavery of selfishness in that too.
But when Christ sets you free, He sets you free indeed. Mankind is misconceived about freedom. Running away from actual freedom, he becomes a slave to greater sin. Running away from the life giver, he runs to the thief.
Sanctification is a crisis as well as a process. One fine morning you don't become one holy man. But everyday you are holier than the previous. Through Christ who strengthens you.
Do I desire for actual freedom? Do I desire for holiness which is an irreplaceable attribute of God. I have to realize that I have been a slave to the habits that are unproductive. May be gadgets, may be some unfruitful watching, may be social media, pride, selfcenteredness, white lies, negative thoughts, sexual desires and the sins leading from it, what not and what more.
I have strived but am unable to come out? Is that what you say? That's because you are a slave to sin.
But Christ has set you free. That is the truth.
Do you seek actual freedom?
