Ezra:6:1-12
What intended to be harm by Tattenai, turned out to be a blessing for the remnant. Not only did Darius issue a decree to continue the rebuilding, he also asked the enemy Tattenai to provide for them the necessary commodities.
But all this happened because the remnant was rebuilding the temple They were in the center of God's will for them. They were doing what they were supposed to do. They were seeking God and pursuing Him.
You cannot expect God to be on your side, as long as you are doing your things, appeasing the pride of your heart, doing things which you want to do. Unless you seek God, how can you expect Him to be on your side.
How can you cling on to the promise "whatever he does prospers" unless you "delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night"?
How can you hold fast to "all these things shall be added unto you" unless you seek first the kingdom of God"?
We concentrate on the getting part; where as we comfortably neglect the giving part; the seeking part. We neglect the heart of God where as we look at the hands of God only - be it provision or protection. We laim promises of blessings always, easily neglecting covenants to seek Him.
Be aware. Repent and return.
