In the midst of sadness, is there praise
In the midst of madness, is there thanksgiving
In the midst of low spirits is there lifting up of voice
In the midst of crying, is there joy
In the midst of weeping, is there gratitude
In the midst of crushing spirit, is there tears of joy.
Ezra:3:13 The joyful shouting and weeping mingled together in a loud noise that could be heard far in the distance
You o friend, might be in the deepest pit
In the darkest hour, with the heaviest load
But is it an excuse to thank Him for what He has done in the past. Praise Him for what He is. Does your mood negate the truth?
"I don't feel like." It's not your feeling. It is the fact.
"You don't understand, brother." Yes i very well do. So does your Father in heaven. So does all mankind who has gone through their own troughs. But that does not negate the goodness of God.
"I don't want to." That might be right. Because it is out of your rebellion you say that. That I choose not to.
Psalm:139:8 If i go upto the heaven you are there.
If I go down to the grave you are there.
If you are in the deepest trough dear friend, the Lord is just a praise away. If you say you cant experience the Lord who promised to never leave you nor forsake you and He who promised to be with you till the end of days (and He is true) the problem is that you are not appropriating the promise. You are not believing. Just a thank you appa, from the depth of your heart will open your eyes and enable you to see Him sitting close by putting His arms over your shoulder.
