2Kings:22:3-13
Because Josiah sought the Lord; he found the Lord. The scrolls of the law were somewhere lost in the temple. At the time of Josiah; when there was restoration of the temple, the scrolls were found.
And when it was read out aloud; Josiah got the revelation. We have not been doing everything it says we must do.
There is conviction of sin. There is repentance and there is more inquiring of the Lord.
God wouldn't be found in His entire identity on the busy roads. His attributes, His very nature will be found only when you decide to restore the broken temple.
And conviction of sin is an integral stone in that restoration.
Unless there is tearing of clothes, there is no true encounter. Unless there are rended hearts, there is no true healing. Unless there is wearing of sackclothes there is no blessing. Unless there is repentance there is no restoration.
Because sin was the original thing that prevented your access to this Holy God. So unless this root cause is dealt with; there is no reaching out to Him.
Yes the Lord is healer; the Lord restores; the Lord blesses. But sin has no entry to His presence.
Everyday; every moment.
Every action; every thought; every motive
Was it an act of rebellion against Him?
True. The blood of the Lamb covers all sins. You have gained entry through the righteousness that He offers.
But has there been a licentiousness in you.
1John:1:9 But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse from all wickedness.
