Menial


1Chron:7:48
Their fellow Levites were appointed to various other tasks in the Tabernacle, the house of God.

Only Aaron's descendants were allowed to serve as priests. All the other Levites had other responsibilities. Some were musicians. Some had to clean the altar on which the sacrifices were made. Some were responsible for the bronze wash basin and the like. Some had menial jobs to do. While some others had exceptional and respectable jobs 
But all of the Levites were stationed in the Tabernacle, the house of God for proper functioning.
Each had to function individually for the proper and meticulous running of things. Imagine the altar not cleaned up. Imagine the bronze wash basin not cleaned up. Imagine the priest not offering the sacrifice in the right way. Imagine the oil is not there in the lampstand. Imagine the choir not singing properly. Topsy turvy.
Do not consider other's responsibility as respectable and mine as menial. Do not be sad that they are doing so much for God. They preach. They are musicians. They do so many things. They are busy. While I am only in the kitchen, feeding my family. Yes! God has trusted you with that and by His grace you would fair well.

May be your calling is to pray. Be a prayer warrior for God 
May be your calling is to encourage that one person. Do that. It will be THE difference in his life. 
May be your calling is to raise up Holy men and women who would proclaim God's message boldly in the future generation. Raise up godly children.

May be nobody would notice what you have been doing. Nobody would acknowledge. Even your epitaph wouldn't be what you wanted it to read - what is said by men.
But there is a God who sees. Make Him look at your face one day and say with pride. Well done good and faithful servant - enter the joy of your master. May God enable.

Enslaved

Rom:6:22 Enslaved to God. I want to be enslaved to God. I want to do things which please God. I want to come out of the slavery I'm stuck in. Where I am forced to do things which I hate to do. It was also credited

Rom:4:22 Therefore it was also credited to him as righteousness. Till now we were talking about the saving faith of Abram, which is credited to him as righteousness. Now Paul talks about faith in the promise of God. That also was credited to him as righteousness. So faith is progressive and increasing in Abram's case. First the saving faith, and then faith in his daily challenges. Yet faith is not about the promise. But the promise maker. The promise keeper. Because that promise came from the One and only faithful and true God, it is trustworthy. While claiming a promise, you give importance to the promise perse. Not the person who gave it. What Abram believed is that God said something, therefore I am sure it will happen. When you read the Word of God and as you receive a personal promise, see it as God communicating to you. Forgiven is not nullification, but justification

Rom:4:7-8 Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven. And whose sins have been covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account. Quoted from Psalm 32. Written by King David. Immediately after being caught redhanded after the adultery with Bathsheba and murder of Uriah. David realised he has failed. He recognized that there is utter absence of his personal merit. He sighs inwardly to begin with, if at all God would cover my sin, how blessed I would be. He acknowledged the enormity of his sin, but it is also true that the imputed righteousness is even bigger. The compassionate love of his God is even greater. There is no sin dark enough. Rom:8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. We are His children. His very own. We are His beloved. The King of kings. We have the privilege to call Him Abba Father. Heirs of God. Co-heirs with Christ. Will not this Almighty Abba Father give you everything you need? Will not He protect you from every danger? Credited

Rom:4:3 Abraham believed God and it was credited as righteousness. Justified by faith. Not by works. Faith is the only thing that clears you. Rom:4:4-5. Bane lifted

Rom:8:12 So then brethren, we are under obligation not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. You are not destined to slavery. You are not destined to curse. You are out of all jinx. No obligation. V:11 He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. You need not struggle in any familial trait. All bane has been cancelled. On the cross. By the blood of the unblemished Lamb you have been washed clean. A new creation you are. Abundant life you are called for. Then why this struggle?
