Rejected

Mal:1:2b-3a I loved your ancestor Jacob. But I rejected his brother Esau.   Why did you reject Esau? It is not fair to reject someone and accept another. And that too you say, it is based on their actions. Is that fair?  For Esau's sake it might look unfair. But Jacob, He chose. Despite being the deceiver, the cunning evil person, Jacob was chosen.  When God shows mercy, nothing is unfair. Mercy is not something you deserve. You deserve only rejection and judgement based on your actions. But God shows mercy. That is His discretion.  He might have given Esau enough options to choose grace offered to him, which he might have rejected. We don't see that angle. But God the Omniscient has reasons solid enough.  Meanwhile be eternally grateful that you are chosen.

Love

I have always loved you.  Not a moment goes by without me thinking of you. You are always in my mind. I am mindful of you. My mind is full of you. I have never stopped loving you. Before even time began. Before you were created in your mother's womb. Through the cross. Even right now.  Even when you sinned. Or when you were in the center of my will.  Even when you were in the peak of disobedience and rebellion. Or obeyed to the core.  I have always loved you.  Image credit: https://www.etsy.com/in-en/listing/1397157935/jesus-christ-hugging-boy-digital-print
