Don't you care?
Silence. Be still.
Mk: 4: 39
When you look at your loved ones and your friends, and see that they do not bother about your personal things - your happinesses, your tears. Don't they care?
That is when you feel all alone amongst the mob. Then you feel your joy, your sadnesses are all your own. Disciples thought that their teacher did not care that they were about to die.
Beautiful is the Master's response. Be still. Do you still have no faith? The two 'stills' is the answer to it all.
Be still and know that I am God. What more assurance do we need. Eventhough I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me.
Don't you still have faith? Why don't you trust me? Why don't you believe that I am in charge? That I have plans to prosper and not to harm you.
Then you will see - even the waves obeying Him. Terrifying torrents will give way to amazement and awe.
You will see mountains move, oceans settle and waves being calm.
