Pro:16:6
By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for.
Oh! Why is he behaving so badly to me always. Why does she hate me so much. Why does my boss always corner me and point fingers at me.
If the Reader's Digest had an article - "Ten ways to handle people who hate you", that would have been a best seller. Because there would be someone who hates you, in every phase of your life. Undue injustice. People being indifferent and unloving for no reason.
The Word says, there is only one way to handle such people - true lovingkindness. To love them. That will turn them around. Not showing love. But truly love them and being kind enough to forgive. So no talking behind his back. Genuinely praying for him. Not to repay him for his wrongdoings in words or deeds. No indifference to him. No acting good in front of him. No hating him.
This is what Jesus said, to love your enemies. To love your neighbour as yourself.
And if the Spirit leads you - confront - apologize if needed. Even if he is the one who wronged you. Smile at him a genuine smile.
