Dan:6:10
But when Daniel learned that the law has been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always do me, giving thanks to His God.
Three characters of Daniel are notable in this famous verse.
# When crisus came Daniel prayed. He did not fret. He did not try to solve it out by himself. He did not get angry. He did not feel helpless. He just went and prayed.
# As usual, just as he had always denotes his habit, his character. It was not in his crisis alone that he went to pray. It was his custom to pray. His normal routine. Come what may.
# As he prays he expresses his confidence in God by giving thanks to his God. He saw his friends being delivered from the fiery furnace, how his God delivered him from his troubles, how God revealed to him meanings of dreams and visions. This too God will deliver, he was assured.
He continued his habit of prayer.
