Blasphemy

Mk:3:29 But anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences. What is sin with eternal consequences? What exactly is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? The context explains it. The Son of God by the power of the Spirit of God, drives out demons, brings healing to the sick and does amazing miracles. Attributing these to demons was blasphemy.  Unable to see the hand of God in an obvious divine intervention disappoints God. Attributing it to chance, scientific explanations, logicality - forgetting the power of the hand of God, hurts Him. Might not be blasphemy, as you do not attribute it to Beelzebub, but do you believe in miracles? Absolute miracles. Do you believe that nothing is impossible for God? That God is All powerful and He can do anything?  If you believe anything short of this absolute truth - be careful that you are not blaspheming against the Holy God. Be careful you do not hurt God. How could He?

I often wonder why(infact not why), how did Jesus choose Judas, knowing very well that He would betray Him later for 30 pieces of silver. He could have avoided him, He could have vented His anger on him. Instead Jesus loved him. How did Jesus choose me, knowing very well that I would choose cheaper things over Him? Even after coming to know of His overflowing love? For comforts, for loziness, for sleep, for lust, for pride, for the very things He abhors which i secretly enjoy. But still He chose to love me. But still He continues to love me. I hear Him say - there is nothing more you could do to make me love you more. There is nothing less you could do to make me love you less. Think vs Know

Mk:2:17 I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners. Thinking can be wrong. It is usually biased by your background and by what you know or have learnt. With regards to Pharisees, in the eyes of God, it was definitely wrong. But they believed they were righteous falsely. But knowing is surity. It is a realisation after either a research or a revelation. It is the absolute truth. The truth is you are a sinner in God's eyes. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Salvation comes only for those who realised this truth. Only when you understand and know and accept this truth. This is being poor in Spirit and if so the Kingdom of Heaven is yours. Jesus has already come. Jesus is already waiting. Image credit: https://thesocialadviser.com/are-you-addicted-to-thinking/

Impact

Mark:2:5 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralysed man, ' My child, your sins are forgiven' How good a friend are you? Those 4 friends, their faith - heals a paralysed man and his sins are forgiven. What influence have you on your friends? What radical change have you brought in your friend's life?  Does he knows his creator God, his Father because he has a friend called you? Superficiality and heartiness will not take you anywhere. Fun is good. But is of no use unless you influence him for God. Pray continually that your life will not hinder him from knowing God, infact impact him to come a step closer to Him. To amalgamate

Mk: 1:40-45 The man with leprosy begged - if you are willing, you can heal me. Jesus moved with compassion and healed him. What a combination? Faith and compassion. Helplessness and love. The love and compassion is always there. It is the absence of helplessness and faith that hinders healing to come. Unless you know your helpless estate, unless you trust in the everloving hand of God, how will you be delivered?  There were thousands of lepers in Israel at that time. But only a few were healed. Because they had the faith that Jesus can heal, therefore they out of their helplessness they came to Him. And He because He was willing and because He was moved with compassion, He healed them all. He doesn't have any criterion to base His healing. Not the amount of faith, not the life of purity they live. Only because He is able and because of His love. He will heal. At once

Mark:1:16-20 Peter and Andrew; James and John; when the Master called them to follow Him, they at once left everything and followed Him. Their father, their nets, their friends. All they wanted to focus from today was their beautiful Saviour. When Jesus calls you, what hesitiates you to completely obey Him? It might be a call to follow Him; it might be a call to discard a few habits or a relationship. It might be a call to renounce a particular sin which you used to enjoy. What holds you from surrendering fully. At once. Immediately. Completely/fully. Are not adverbs to describe the verbs. But the core key words. Beloved

You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy. Mark:1:11 Father's testimonial about the Son, Jesus Christ. This gives us a glimpse of that love that is between the Eternal Father and the Eternal Son. With the same love, He has loved us. He is love. He does not change. Which means that He loves you the same way. John15:9. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. If you are unloveable. If you are weary of running around searching. If you are tired. This is what your Father who created you says. I have loved you with an everlasting love. Just as much I love my Son Jesus, I love you. I have made you my children. That's what you are. You are my child. YOU ARE MINE FOREVER. Image credit: https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-26740975-son-hugs-his-father's-silhouette-against-background
