Needy - poem


Seeking help is the first step to get help.
Unless I realize, how will I receive aid.
If I am adamant of my self sufficiency 
And I trust in my own ability,
There is no hope; there is no help coming

Unless I really realize I am poor and needy
That I need help and deliverance!
If I am comfortable in my own plight
Not even the most able man could do any aide
Thence I would be called a fool.

The helpless man who doesn't realize he is helpless
Is like the swine who revel in filth
Is like the foolish king who fails to run off
When a mighty army he faced
But clung on to his thrown.

Why do I fail to admit I need help?
Does it make me inferior? Is the fear
Pride too is a solid reason:
I don't want to stretch my palms before some one
Seeking help is degrading to the self.

Man's nature has been thus, so swollen with pride
Anything that hurts my ego is so demeaning
What will others think of me?
What will happen to the honour from men, I've been enjoying 
The ridicule, the further looking down upon

But in the presence of God, it is indeed true
That I am literally helpless, I am poor, I am needy
Can't do things on my own
Because in the Kingdom standards, values are different
And the way it has to work out, it's not my disposition

I need help to control my anger,
To stop lying, to start loving
To be selfess, to help others, to be blameless
To be joyous, to have self control, to be gentle
To be faithful, all these paths untrodden. I need help

Because these are God's ways
I need to unlearn my own sinful ways
And then learn the new path that He has walked through
Toddling through; I will fall; I need help
Discouragements will I face; I need help

The moment I realize I need help
That moment help will come.
Unless I seek help; there won't be any aide
Unless I ask God, pray to Him, how can He?
For God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Ps:70:5
But I am poor and needy; make haste unto me
O God Thou art my help and deliverer
O Lord make no tarrying

Matt:5:3
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Micah:4:12 That He is gathering them together To be beaten up and trampled Like sheaved of grain on a threshing floor.  The Lord gathers together to beat and trample. Oh! Isn't it mean? Generation gap

A message for children.  Pro:1:8 My child listen when your father corrects you Don't neglect your mother's instruction Generation gap.  A terminology we snuggly fit in to ease the discomfort in a difficult relationship between a father and a son or a mother and a daughter. Children say they are older generation. They don't understand the present scenario. They don't understand our needs. Their advises are all old fashioned. Not fitting into the present world.  Little do they understand that their parents also might have felt the similar way about their parents only to realise the value of their parent's admonitions later on in their lives as adults. That parents have the wisdom of life. Moreover if godly parents, they being directed by God the Eternal Father, it is indeed wise to accept their advice. Even more importantly, they are God given authority. And their love to you is beyond anyone else in this world. Your own blood. Who else would want the best out of your

Trust

He is close to those who trust in Him. Nah:1:7 Oh! When you feel all alone in this dark world. When you feel you don't have anyone to lean on to. There is one person who promised to be with you, always, to the end of days. He has promised to never leave or forsake you. All we have to do is to just trust in Him. He is true. He will never fail. Even if heaven and earth will fail, His word will always remain.  He is faithful. What are we supposed to do Lord?

Micah 6 V:3 What have I done to you?  What have I done to make you tired of me?  V:5 Don't you remember, my people?  When I the Lord did everything I could To teach you about my faithfulness.  V:6 What can we bring to the Lord?  What kind of offerings should we give Him?  V:8 This is what He requires of you.  To do what is right, to love mercy And to walk humbly with your God.  This is the only thing you're supposed to do Oh! bard. Only thing He requires of you. Not to accomplish great things for Him. Not to conquer nations for Him. If that is your calling, well yes, do it. But more important for Him is this. Very simple thing He expects of you.  To do what is right. According to His heart. According to His standards.  To love mercy. To deny all self righteousness and self centeredness, be filled with compassiin and consider others better than yourself.  To walk humbly with your God, denyinh your own self. Delight

Ps:147:11 The Lord's delight is in those who fear Him If you delight in Him, He will delight in you. Oh! Is it like tit for tat?  No dear bard! He has already delighted in you. He has loved you while you were still His enemies. You are mine He declares. You are His signet ring, He proclaims.  Not because you fear Him. Not because He foreknew you would fear Him. But because He loves. Hosea was asked to marry a harlot and he continued to love her despite her unfaithfulness. Just like He continues to delight in you oh! When you don't have anything else to do......

In the fish's belly Jonah was there for three days and three nights. In that dark place, he could only look to God. He could not run away, which he was so specialized in. He couldn't do anything else which he was an expert. He couldn't do anything he wanted to desperately do. All he could do was to sit in God's presence.  Sometimes God places you in circumstances where you can only pray. You can do nothing else. And at that time, please pray. Do not try to do anything else. Even if you do not feel like praying, that is the time when you are supposed to. Helpless as you are, you can open up to your Father. Words do not matter at that time. The Holy Temple

Micah:1:5 Where is the center of idolatory on Judah?  In Jerusalem; it's capital.  The very place which was supposed to be kept sacred and holy, has now been defiled and become the very center of desecration. Fully polluted and corrupted. Why should He not be wrathful?  The heart of holiness; which was supposed to be the throne of the most High God with all His richness and glory has been befouled and debased.  The very heart dear bard - which is supposed to be the temple of the most Holy God, what all do you entertain? Confines the king to a corner in your quiet times and church and bible study. As if you give charity and satisfy Him and then you do whatever you want, the rest of the time.  You think you can fool around with His holiness? This is one chant that goes up in heaven for eternity - Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty. Oh! Don't nullify it with your fancies.  He is serious about His holiness.
