Psalm:18:6
In my distress I cried out to the Lord
Yes, I prayed to my God for help
He heard me from His sanctuary
My cry to Him reached His ears.
Many a times in distress, we do everything but cry out to the Lord.
We do self pity.
We cry.
We talk (or want) to talk to others.
We think of prayers.
We sing.
What we do not do is what we ought to do. To talk it out to Him. I do not know about you, but this is my struggle.
When we defer from praying, we are actually being arrogant and proud and telling God, "I have this, I need no help."
We have been called to be house of prayer, but we have made it den of thieves (in our thoughts and words)
Lack of communication with God, from our side is an act of rebellion.
Even Jesus in His utmost distressed time, prayed to His Father - if it is possible to take away this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours.
My Lord, My Lord why have you forsaken me?
In the garden of Gethsemane
In John 17
"Very early in the morning while it was still dark" He had the habit to go to a lonely place and pray. A habit that He developed when all was going fine. Let's Start today
